"Conversation for Vibrant Communities"

Wednesday, August 5,  10 am - 4 pm
DeKalb County Community Foundation - 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore

Understanding the needs and perspectives of clients, constituents, and residents is key to developing responsive programs and services across sectors and to a growing number of collective impact efforts. Effective new tools are being used to engage people in meaningful conversations around important civic issues such as education and youth development, poverty, crime and public safety, prejudice and discrimination, and environmental sustainability. These tools for engaging the public in civic discourse are often referred to as practices in Dialogue & Deliberation (D&D).

Join Janice Thomson and Hubert Morgan, experts in dialogue and deliberation (D & D), as they provide an introductory workshop on the four streams of engagement. These tools are key in developing responsive programs and services across sectors and collective impact efforts.
